Sending an unsubscribe request is only half the job. Some senders ignore it. So after you unsubscribe, ClearMyInbox watches your mailbox and gives each sender an outcome based on what they actually did. You find the outcomes on the Unsubscribed page, which lists every sender you have acted on.

The outcomes

The tabs at the top

The tabs group the same outcomes:
  • Stopped: senders verified as stopped.
  • Reduced: senders that send less than before.
  • Ignored you: senders that are still emailing or started again.
  • Checking: senders we have not finished checking, including ones we could not check.
  • Deleted: senders whose emails you deleted without unsubscribing.

What you can do on a sender that ignored you

  • Try again sends the unsubscribe request once more.
  • Block moves their future mail out of your inbox. Blocking is part of the paid plans that include it. See Blocking versus unsubscribing.
  • Report them opens our complaint letter generator, which writes a UK GDPR complaint letter you can send. We do not send it for you.
  • I’ve re-subscribed tells us you want this sender again.

How unsubscribing works on each plan

  • Opening the sender’s own unsubscribe link yourself is always available and is not counted.
  • Automatic unsubscribing, where we send the request for you, is limited to 10 a month on the Free plan and is unlimited on the paid plans.
See pricing for the plans.
